There are three important steps in a headlight and taillight tooling project, the first is the tooling design. As you know.JMT company gets more than 20 designers who all have rich experience in mold design. Design is known as the key to a quality mold, such as many structures in a mold, such as inserts/sliders/pair inserts/etc. Without a good design, you have trouble in the future, especially for automotive light molds, it is huge and hard work. You need to design the cooling system as well as the ejector/hot runner system.
Second is the mold process. It is so important and therefore requires high precision machining of mechanical molds. The process has a lot of work to be done such as: welding / CNC milling / EDM / drilling / tempering / texturing / TIG welding etc. Such a long process line determines 100 working days to complete the lamp mold, then we move to the mold trial.
Third is assembly, it is the last job of the mold project. When we get the mold trial sample, we have to assemble it on the car to check if it is in good assembly condition and if there is no problem here, we can ship the mold. We will check the lamp mold design and process to find the problem and fix it.
